Church Maintenance


Summer Progress Report from Operations

 
Considerable progress has been made since Spring on our regular maintenance items as well as on improvements to our facilities. A summary is provided below:

1. All outside railings have been sanded & painted.
2. The North parking lots & driveway were refurb’ed.
3. The entire East wall from the Pastor’s office to the Sanctuary wall has been sanded & painted.
4. The outside of the Steeple has been scraped, sanded, caulked & painted (Clemco Con-struction).
5. A newly constructed, water-proofed access cover has been added at the top of the Steeple (Clemco Construction).
6. Plantings have been renewed and added to the front of Fellowship Hall and to the East Sanctuary bed (Craig Hibben).
7. Bushes have been trimmed along the East wall and in the North parking lots.
8. Much weed-wacking and weeding has been done in the Outdoor Worship Area and in the beds along Rt. 132 and around the Sanctuary.
9. The floors in rooms 1 & 2 have been sanded and refinished.
10. The floors in Fellowship Hall and in the Gathering Space have been thoroughly cleaned and waxed.
11. The hallways from the Southeast entrance to the preschool doors, the cross hall and the office entrance to the fire doors have been repaired & painted.
12. Significant clean-up and brush cutting have been completed in the East Yard Ceme-tery.
13. An Automatic Emergency Defibrillator (AED) has been installed and two classes of volunteers trained in its use.
14. Lighting has been added to the crawl space beneath our new facilities and a second access added to facilitate routine inspections and access in emergencies.
15. All parking and driving lines have been repainted on our paved parking & driveway surfaces.
16. All carpets have been professionally cleaned.

Reminders:

1) Please remember to DRIVE SLOWLY on the unpaved parts of our parking lots.

2) Please use plastic trash bags when putting stuff in the dumpster. Please do not put anything in there loose. It is messy and creates opportunities for rats.
