Yorktown Presbyterian Preschool

More information about the Preschool is available at the Yorktown Presbyterian Preschool website.

Yorktown Presbyterian Preschool is happy to share our playground with you but we need your help!!

When your children leave the playground on Sundays, please make sure they each put away one or two items. Riding equipment gets parked inside the driveway fence; pails, shovels and construction vehicles get returned to the sandbox, and the sandbox gets covered.

This last is especially important because an uncovered sandbox becomes a litter box for small animals and, if it rains, the sand will take a good 3-4 days to dry out, during which time our pre-schoolers cannot use it. Thanks in advance for your help!

The Preschool is a well-established and well-regarded service to families in the Yorktown community.  It has three staff, who teach morning and afternoon classes for three and four year-olds.  The school is open to everyone, and because of high demand a point system gives admittance preference to church members and siblings of alumni. The Preschool operates as a cooperative with active involvement of all parents in classroom and support activities.

In addition, the Preschool offers a "Mommy and Me" program four mornings a week.  This is a socialization program for two year-old children with special needs, as well as typically developing two year-olds.  "Mommy and Me" is run in collaboration with the Westchester County Early Intervention Program.

Oversight of the Preschool is provided by a board of parents and church-appointed members.

Yorktown Presbyterian Preschool Registration

A reminder to Church members, siblings of currently enrolled students and of alumni: the “preferred registration” periods for our September 2010 programs is underway.  Registration forms are available in the Preschool and in the Church Office.    Feel free to stop by for a visit.
